Ash dela Cruz Yip (They/Them) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Adler University. They identify as a Filipinx/Chinese, queer, trans, non-binary, able-bodied, uninvited settler on stolen Indigenous lands. Some of the roles they hold include partner, guardian of a teen, sibling, pawrent to 3 cats, friend, and athlete.
Ash chose to be a counsellor for many reasons. They have a passion for showing up for others in non-judgmental ways, challenging traditional psychotherapy and using alternative methods based in community care, and advocating for long-term change in how we experience each other, ourselves, and the world.
Their approach is collaborative, playful, empathic, and at the pace of the client. They draw mostly from narrative therapy, believing that the client knows themselves best and giving them the space to explore their experiences, and the context surrounding them, with empathy and care.
Ash enjoys working with youth (11+) and emerging adults through day-to-day struggles or significant life transitions. They have an interest in connecting with BIPOC clients, 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, neurodivergent-identifying folks and those that live outside of or challenge social norms. Some things these folks may be struggling with include depression, anxiety, distress related to racialized or 2SLGBTQIA+ discrimination, identity, neurodivergent experiences (formal or self diagnosis), or parenting teens.

Nicole has nearly two decades of experience working in a variety of roles with neurodivergent children, youth, and adults in educational and supportive environments. Nicole has presented group training sessions to parents, teachers, and childcare staff on creating neuro-affirmative supports. Finally, as an Autistic parent of two Autistic kids, one with a PDA profile, Nicole holds a deep and personal understanding of the challenges that Autistic individuals and their families face living in a society that does not fit their needs.
Nicole holds a deep trust in the capacity of their clients to access their inner knowing, strength, and ability to create a life that works for them. As a queer, non-binary, polyamorous individual, Nicole is used to sitting on the outskirts of society and provides a non-judgmental space to help clients embrace their own authenticity and personal truths. Their approach is neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and guided by social justice principles. Nicole co-creates the counselling space with their clients, integrating a variety of approaches to suit the client’s unique needs.
Their areas of focus include relational trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidality, emotional regulation, and identity exploration. Nicole also provides parent coaching, informed by their previous work experience in public schools, training and extensive experience in de-escalation of extreme/intense behaviours, and many years of trial-and-error in supporting their children when the “typical” parenting approaches did not fit.
It is with a deep respect for the willingness of clients to be vulnerable and brave that Nicole does their work. Self-exploration, healing, and creating change is hard work, and it is an honour to be invited to walk alongside a person in that journey.
